When a software tool or AI model is featured, evaluated, or critiqued, the decision is made purely on editorial merit and real-world utility to technical professionals.
2. Real Workflow Testing (Beyond Benchmarks)
Synthetic benchmarks rarely reflect daily production realities. Our evaluation process involves inserting tools into actual software engineering and research workflows:
- Testing Duration: Every tool undergoes at least 14 to 30 days of daily operational testing before a comparison or review is drafted.
- Real Codebases: AI coding assistants (like Cursor and Windsurf) are evaluated across multi-file TypeScript, Python, and Rust repositories containing real-world technical debt and complex dependencies.
- Objective Cost Analysis: We account for token costs, rate limits, latency, and operational overhead, not just headline subscription prices.
3. Zero AI Slop Standard
Every article published on Lucivo is researched, structured, and written by human practitioners with hands-on domain expertise. We do not publish automated AI summaries, SEO content-farm articles, or regurgitated PR copy. When AI tools are used internally (e.g., for proofreading or transcription), human editors retain complete authorship and accountability.
4. Corrections & Continuous Updates Policy
Technology and models evolve rapidly. We continuously audit our guides and software comparisons:
